jmeter gui upper-right little problem

in the jmeter upper-right corner, there is a something like '0/1', which means 
there is totally 1 user, curretly there is no user running.
but after I have changed 'Number of Threads(users)' property of element 'Thread 
Group', and started to run the test.
the total user in upper-right corner is not refreshed appropriately, so it does 
not tell u the true status of the running.
