I have found that being on this mailing list has both given me a chance to
contribute and also a very good opportunity to learn. I think I learn more
than I contribute to be honest.

That's certainly a good tip. 

I wouldn't mind aggregating these tips and workflows somewhere. There is a
lot of basic stuff (including the two JMeter books), but nothing much more
than that.
