Hi Leon,
it should be feasible by using a Regular expression extractor.
You must apply it to "main sample and sub-sample".
You should match result 404 and extract the URL, and return it to a variable.
Then you have to log the variable value.
The main defect of this approach is that you have to replicate the regex to
each and every HTTP sample.

Hi,
The view results tree listener displays the 404's, yes. What I would like is to have something write these errors to a separate
log file.
I have specified a filename in the listener, but it only writes the error if the entire sample fails, not when for example an
image is missing (404).

Léon

Hi
I'm not sure what logging is, I assume you are referring to log errors only
in the view results tree listener.
If that is right I think that someone just ask for that few days ago in
this mailing list and the answer was to use a beanshell post processor.
If that's not what you need, please explain in more details what you are
trying to achieve.

Hi,
We're trying to come up with a way to let JMeter request some pages, while
retrieving embedded content and log each request that returns a 'http 404
not found' code. So far, all I've come up with is logging a request if the
main sample returns 404, but not when retrieving embedded content, such as
a missing image file.
My question is, is what I want even possible? I have no idea if beanshell
can do what I want, since I don't really understand it :)
Thanks in advance!
