Thanks for the reply.

I can record google/news on both 2.11 and 2.12 without error.  I still get
the 401 error against the url with the cert.  I see in the
jmeter.properties file a section of properties for "Test Script Recorder
certification configuration".  Do I need to enable these for my JKS?
