Yes i've used the HTTP Cookie manager in Jmeter.. I have used cookie manager as without this my users were unable to log in to the system while running the recorded scripts.
Also if the session id is different then the jmeter should have shown some different response data instead of showing the same response data since my application supports only one user to use that session.
