there are no exceptions. 

When I follow your hint, and when I use  the validation function (button 
"Validate" in section "XPath Assertion"),
JMeter gives an error messages like "prefix must be resolved in a namespace".

I've configured namespaces via parameter " xpath.namespace.config" in 
"jmeter.properties"
