Sorry if this answer is simplistic; the range of experience from people on this 
list is everything from “what’s a server” to “I am writing my own plugin.”

When you made the connection through the recorder, do you see some session ID 
information passing through that you didn’t generate? It’s possible that, 
unless that unique session ID is being sent back to the SharePoint server, it 
is simply not responding at all in an attempt to protect the site from XSS and 
other attacks.

If this is the case, you will need to capture the transaction value and then 
deliver the information back to the server that is dynamically generated for 
each session.

This is very common with server security.
