1. How we should calculate think time? I mean what value we should use. As Deepak mention in his response, think time is one of the factors (the other factors include how many VUsers you use and your application's response time) to get the desired throughput (based on your application). It depends on how users use your application and it should be RANDOMIZED.
2.what are the major matrix should we measure?throughput, response time, server resource utilization ... You would know if your company has SLAs; otherwise, time establish some. 3.what branch mark should we follow and what is standard ? 4.if we are doing performance testing for component, should we use think time or not? Again, the max number of users (threads) using the component. You can run a test without think time to see the max throughput you can get but you might not be realistic and you might run into resource issue.
