Hi All, Thanks for your kind responses. Found that issue was due one of the assertion Jmeter variables which was the same name for both scripts (thread groups) unfortunately, but for different use. Funny thing is the first script failed at some other request not that particular assertion related request. I am using 5.2 not sure if that is something with this version.
