Yeah, windows :) Mhm, this seams to be a bug in the features plugin.
In the assembly pom it includes:

<includeMvnBasedDescriptors>true</includeMvnBasedDescriptors>

This should include them (in theory). So you have to search in the
maven-features-plugin for the problem.
