Exactly, I checked that the Apache License compliant version of JSW is
3.2.3, that's why we are stuck with these version.
Anyway, we can create our own wrapper lib.

Hi JB,
JSW greater than 3.2.3 is GPL, so I dont think it is possible to
upgrade and still get apache 2 friendly license.
When I read the supported platform doc, I had the impression is some
one has forked out 3.2.3 wrapper and implemented the missing HP, AIX,
bits.

Hi Dan,
Karaf wrapper is based on Java Service Wrapper 3.2.3:
http://wrapper.tanukisoftware.com/doc/english/download.jsp
Currently Karaf wrapper provides support for:
- Linux with a so lib
- MacOS X with a JNI lib
- Windows with a DLL
- Unix for all other unix (generic without system libraries)
So there is specific implementation for AIX and HP-UX even if it's fully
supported.
We can create Jira to upgrade to JSW 3.5.7 (I have to check the license) and
add specific wrapper for Solaris, *BSD, AIX and HP-UX.

also there are no wrappers for aix and hp. are they supported? or
the doc is not correct.
Thanks

When I try and install the wrapper service in FreeBSD I get a message

says that FreeBSD is not supported.
The documentation online says that FreeBSD is supported. Is there a way
I
can get it to work?
Thanks
Simon
