Gents, sI use Hibernate with mysql daily and haven't had to do any of this
stuff. All I needed to do was create an antler-hibernate fragment and I was
good to go. All this other stuff here is not necessary to get Hibernate
playing well with Karaf and SpringDM.  The databases I've been able to
successfully connect to are: Oracle 11g, Mysql, derby, and h2.  Take a look
at my blog post to get the details on how to do it.  If that doesn't work,
please let the list know.
