Hi Matt,
well one thing is for sure since you use Karaf 2.0 (kinda old by now ;) )
current features might not work. And features with version ranges didn't
exist when 2.0 was the state of the art Karaf ;)
So I suggest use either an "older" version of camel or write your own
features descriptor based on the camel version you like.

I delete the data folder and started again. Seems like the problem arises

Looks like there are two problems.
1. Karaf features does not like version ranges
2. Camel-karf does not like Karaf 2.0.0
