afair, when a remote service is registered a proxy for that service is created. If the service goes away the proxy will still remain and the proxy itself will try to find other remote services. So, with the current implementation I think that the bundle will not realize that the service has gone away. However, if a new service is available, the proxy will use that service instead. So, in terms of "failover" it is expected to work at the proxy level.
