The 1st one does not even use OSGi but a plain OpenJPA and there is a difference among what it logs if I configure slf4j or log4j. The 2nd one uses Karaf and Aries JPA and if I set log4j the bundle with the persistence unit fails to start whereas it start but it does not log what expected if configured to use slf4j.
