Hi Jean, Guillaume, Jamie, others,
Just to be clear about our plans and needs here:
1) Our upcoming Luna release (what I'm currently preparing karaf
features for) is R5 compliant. It will therefore work with Karaf 3.X,
and I fully expect for 4.X as well.
2) We are finishing a 3.9 release (currently targeted for late July)
that will implement R6 for the RS/RSA specifications.
3) Our R6 impl from 2 will work on any compliant R5 or R6 framework (no
dependencies on R6 framework enhancements).
4) We are currently testing using Equinox 3.10/Luna which is R6 compliant
5) Our RS/RSA implementation is a candidate for the R6 reference
implementation for RS/RSA 1.1 R6 specifications
The upshot is that although we would like to see Karaf support R6 as
soon as possible, ECF's RS/RSA impl will support the RS/RSA 1.1 before
the end of this summer, and will work on both R5 and R6 frameworks.
My questions about Karaf 3,4 plans and schedule are so that we can do
planning around Karaf feature creation and our own release
engineering...and so that we can plan in order to better support Karaf
consumers who might like to also use standards-based RS/RSA.
Thanks,
Scott

Hi Scott (again ;))
for R6, I would wait to have a first framework implementing the spec
before updating.

Ah, we'll have to update the main page. I tend to use the dependencies
matrix:

Ok...thanks.
Returning to the original question: any info or pointers on Karaf 3.X
and/or 4.X plans and schedule? e.g. support/usage of R6? (framework
spec just released publicly, and enterprise spec to be released).
Thanks,
Scott
