I never really understood why there is a log4j2 since I thought that was
the intention of logback.  I would personally not stress that issue since
as far as I can see, logback should do everything you need at least in the
interim.  I would suggest finding a way to get on 3.0.1 though if possible,
it's a really nice release and it has worked really well for me.

Anyhow, hopefully if you can't it won't be much longer, the Karaf guys
certainly are working hard on Karaf to make it better and better.
