Hi Jean, I thought I'd take a look myself and I think it's already there!
I noticed a parameter field call excludedArtifactIds in the GenerateDescriptorMojo and followed it to the following check further down: I tested it out with the following in my kar module and it worked. There are other problems, but they are unrelated to this :) I suspect the only thing missing is the documentation.
