OK,

did you create the kar file by hand or using the maven plugin ?

And you use Karaf 2.3.8 right ?

With pleasure, thanks for your help.

Here is the first feature:

<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
<features>

   <feature name="common_statistic" version="1.0-SNAPSHOT">
     <feature>jpa-hibernate</feature>
     <feature>camel-jpa</feature>

     <bundle>wrap:mvn:net.sourceforge.jtds/jtds/1.3.0</bundle>

     <feature>jndi</feature>
     <bundle>mvn:io.xtech.cf.common.statistic/cf-jpa/1.1-SNAPSHOT</bundle>

mvn:io.xtech.cf.common.statistic/cf-jpa/1.1-SNAPSHOT/properties/config

   </feature>

Here is the second one:

<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
<features>

   <feature name="XT_CF_FH_Bus" version="${project.version}">

     <feature>jasypt-spring31</feature>
     <feature>babel-camel</feature>

     <bundle>mvn:${project.groupId}/firmbus-model/${project.version}</bundle>

<bundle>mvn:${project.groupId}/firmbus-mediation/${project.version}</bundle>

     <configfile finalname="/etc/XT_CF_FH_Bus.cfg">

mvn:${project.groupId}/firmbus-mediation/${project.version}/properties/config
     </configfile>
   </feature>

</features>

Do you mind to share your kar or features XML ?

A kar is atomic, so removing a kar should not impact the others (or the
kar files share some common thing in the features XML).

Hi JB,

Thanks for reply. No the features do not contain any common bundle
definition.

THis was what I was thinking about first.

Hi Christophe,

does the features XML contained in the kar define the same bundles ?

Dear all,

I have not been able to find the documentation on the deployed kar
behavior.
Currently, I'm deploying 2 kars in a karaf (2.3.0).
They don't have any direct dependency on each other but when I remove
one of
those, the bundles from the other are also removed.

My expectation are that a kar, once removed, should try to remove the
bundles installed if not used. I worring whenever this might be another
bundle that is uninstalled.

Any idea or documentation might help a lot, thanks in advance.

Christophe
