We used openjpa on Karaf 2, by default. With the migration to Karaf 3, we thought it was a good idea to migrate also to Hibernate, much more convenient and "compatible" with Karaf 3. I did not try the JPA 2.0 feature, I'm going to try it now, thank you for the advice.
