I did not yet do tests with hibernate 5 but this issue seems like a good
reason to do so.
I will test my example project with hibernate 5 and report back if I see
the same issue.

So it seems Aries JPA has problems with the hibernate 5 version. Or is it
possible that some of the bundles that come with the provided hibernate
version are missing?
