Hi JB, of course - that would help. I know it is difficult to test every combination of Aries JPA, JPA API, JPA implementation, with/without transaction managment etc. And keeping track which versions work well together is also not really simple, since the information is not available at one place (at least I haven't found it ). If one is not knee-deep in these things and just wants to use them, one might stumble over a number of issues (I have another one with transaction and data sources in Karaf 4.0.4, but maybe I should open a different thread for this).
I'll try again with Christian's tutorial project and his latest hints, maybe that will give some further insights.
