Thanks for the swift reply. Not sure if this answers your question, but I
have the following feature running:

hibernate                     | 4.3.6.Final      | x        | Started
enterprise-4.0.8         | Hibernate 4.3.x JPA persistence engine support

And my feature file has the following entries:

            <feature>jndi</feature>
            <feature>jdbc</feature>
            <feature>pax-jdbc-h2</feature>
            <feature>pax-jdbc-pool-dbcp2</feature>
            <feature>pax-jdbc-config</feature>
            <feature>jpa</feature>
            <feature>hibernate</feature>
