That's the "fix" about ed25519 key. Karaf works out of the box, only client with ed key can fail (it was my case).
So, starting from a "fresh" client is not a problem, only if the ssh client has multiple keys, and at least one is ed25519, then it can fail. I consider Karaf 4.4.9 as an improvement more than a bug fix.
