Hi Margus - There is a possibility that you would be able to configure the Shiro authentication provider that we use for LDAP to use the Shiro JDBCRealm instead of a LDAP variation.
You would have to dig into the Shiro docs for JDBCRealm configuration and then configure the Shiro provider in the topology with the ini config that would go in shiro.ini. Please do let us know how you make out - it would be great if you could contribute back a topology example for templates - that uses JDBC!
