Hey guys ! I have an HDP 2.3.4.7 secured by Kerberos with Knox installed and Ambari 2.2.2.
I noticed recently that the log file gateway.out has became really big (> 2GB). This is normal because there is a ton of information related to the way Knox renew its kerberos ticket etc... I was wondering if there was an internal mechanism to rotate and purge it ? I can see in the log4j that there is rotation for the other logs, but not for this one. In the meantime, I found that the property "sun.security.krb5.debug" with the value "false" allows to greatly decrease the frequency which knox logs. Thank you in advance for your answer ! BR.
