Many thanks ShaoFeng. I have succesfully built a cube with a hierarchy dimension as in Kylin's sample cube.

Roberto

When you create a cube, in the "Advanced setting" step, in each "aggregation group", you can select dimensions in the "Hierarchy Dimensions", which is telling Kylin that these dimensions are hierarchy relationship;

If you have run Kylin's sample cube, in it there is such a hierarchy: "META_CATEG_NAME","CATEG_LVL2_NAME","CATEG_LVL3_NAME"

The "META_CATEG_NAME" is the top level, and then followed the level 2 and level 3 catagory;

    Hi,

    I'm a new user from Apache Kylin. I have built some cubes
    sucessfully. However, I can't see how is possible to create
    hierarchy dimensions. I see this option in Apache Kylin guides and
    screenshots, but I only can choose betwween Normal and Derived
    dimensions. Now, I create as a Derived Dimensions, chossing all
    the columns involved in the hierarchy.

    I use Kylin 1.5.2

    how can i create hierarchy dimensions with Apache Kylin?

    Thanks in advance,
