Sorry for late reply. I've got a lot of projects on right now! :)

In response, I have not used output to static. The system seems to perform
adequately out-of-the-box. I do have a nice hosting environment and a fast
server. That helps.

Good things about Lenys:
 - Really easy to customize the look and feel
 - Formidably clever technology.
 - Authoring interface professional and clean, appropriate to present to
customers
 - Easy to install and get running
 - Excellent community support

Non-critical issues I have yet to resolve:
 - Have been unable to get Cforms working as yet
 - Have been unable to upload images into site using Kupu
 - Kupu doesn't really work on Intenet Explorer/Windows, customers must use
Firefox (N.B. BXE seems to work OK but is not something I'd recommend for
   a non-technical person)
 - Method of creating a new publication is suboptimal (as noted in the
   docs somewhere)
 - When using the example mod_rewrite configs, the resulting URL
the browser is redirected to is not ideal

In short, I have certainly torn out a few hairs using Lenya, but our company
(which does, amongst other things, contract web development) is now comitted
to Lenya as our platform for smaller content-based web sites (as opposed to
web database systems). The primary reason for the selection is
future-proofing.

P.S. I have yet to install 1.2.3, which I will do soon, and I hope will help
me with one or two of my problems.

Regards to all

Joe
