Hi,

I'm trying to make staging work as well. It appears that you have to add
the staging step to the workflow. That involves modifying
config/workflow/workflow.xml to map out the new workflow.

Also, looks like you need to add a staging task to
config/tasks/tasks/xconf.

The publish task has an associated java class that does the work of
moving files into the "live" folder. Probably the new "staging" task
would need to do something very similar. I wonder if it's possible to
simply re-use the Publish task. Any the java class is at:

${
publication_dir}/java/src/org/apache/lenya/defaultpub/cms/task/Publish.j
ava

I'll be working on this today. Let's share our progress. If anyone else
has additional tips, please let us know.

the THDL Tibet folks).

Subject: staging area

Hi there I am trying to make the staging area work. I added the tabs,
copied the plain content from authoring to staging. Now as I try to
publish one page lenya still moves my changes only to the live area
instead to the staging area.
I need to know where to make a change to move the changes to my new
STAGING area instead of the live area.

Thanks david
