You should be able to run the build inside Eclipse but you may need some of the setup from http://wiki.apache.org/lenya/HowToLenyaInEclipseDebugger to set up your libraries and classpaths.

Good question. Did you try it and did it work?
I did not find any instructions about this approach but did see the folder in the Lenya source distribution.

It would be great to have this documented. Specially if it works :-)

I think that there might be something missing from http://wiki.apache.org/lenya/HowToLenyaInEclipseDebugger.

I tried to follow it on another Win XP PC with Eclipse after the modification that I suggested had been included in the Wiki. It did not work which means that a step is missing in the instructions or I missed a step in following them. I did not have time to find out which, so this is a bit of a warning.

If the eclipse-project works, then that would be much better.

Agreed, I couldn't get it to work when I tried it (ant eclipse-project). It has been a while since I have tried though.

"ant eclipse-project" works for me, and I find it very convenient.
Do you remember what was your problem?

no, it has been a while. the steps in the wiki started with Gregor helping me out via IRC. I will give eclipse-project a try.

eclipse-project works fine for me. I just made a small HowTo in the wiki: http://wiki.apache.org/lenya/HowToLenyaInEclipse Please have a look and check if it works for you. Maybe someone could test if/how it works for the windows installer. Also, maybe Ant doesn't even need to be installed if you build with the shell scripts, I'm not sure.

HTH,
Renaud
