I did try connecting to the URL using an IP address rather than DNS name, (the timings were about the same). But if Lenya is internally making DNS or HTTP requests to external servers that's another matter (and probably very bad behavior).
Can you give me any specific places to look? This is just the out-of-the-box Lenya setup. Does out-of-the-box Lenya 1.2.3 make any connections to outside servers without being asked? "Gregor J.
