Right now we are discussing over on the dev-list how lenya can use e.g.
forrest as renderer and how to marriage them. 

Forrest concentrates right now more on:

Apache Cocoon and relevant standards, which separates presentation from

Lenya is a CMS framework, which offers you standard cms components that
you can use in your own cms.

Short:
Lenya = CMS framework
Forrest = Publishing framework
