Whoops, I mean for the doctype not the area!

But when the area is matched, it's better to use a matcher, isn't it?
From what I understand, the page envelope module has to send another
cocoon request to determine the area. Is it right?

{page-envelope:area} is used in sitemaps where the area isn't matched

doesn't even contain the area in the path.
From a performance perspective, it should not matter which variable is
used. Lenya decides the area for each URL before getting to the
publication-sitemap. Lenya permanently caches the doctype the first
time a document is accessed.
BTW, that's a bug (delete a document and create a new one with the
same ID but different doctype ...), so expect this to be changed.
But I guess we'll rather remove the entry from the doctype cache when
a document is deleted.
