Yes. The term "resource type" was introduced to emphasize that it
denotes a general concept (for instance, it should apply to images,
sounds, videos etc. as well).

resource types would be the ones which are provided by modules (FKA
publets)?
Yes, whereas the term "custom" is a little inappropriate in a
framework. I'll change it.
