Any recommendations for a good lenya host? If they claim support for
Cocoon, I assume that's the minimum?
yes, whereas I would suggest a dedicated root server is the easiest,
but AFAIK these start around USD 100 per month and might be too pricy.
I was recently looking around for a low-cost option, and came across
www.webserve.ca, which offers JSP/Tomcat5 hosting with their "Unix Pro"
account
for very reasonable rates ($16-20CDN/month depending on length of
contract) and
included some other nice features such as a dedicated IP, shell access, etc.

I ended up getting a better deal elsewhere (offer of free hosting from an ISP
supporting the non-profit I'm doing a site for), so I didn't actually try it
out, though, and don't know for sure if it has everything Lenya needs.
After seeing a few posts about webhosting, and seeing that this is quite a bit
cheaper than most other hosts I've seen offering JSP/Tomcat support, I thought
it might be useful for those looking for an ISP to host Lenya-based sites. And
no, I don't have any connection whatsoever with that company, and know
absolutely nothing about them other than what you see on their website.
