I mentioned a free beer in Berlin for the first one to implement this...
The only solution for the current 1.2 static html export is to
manually copy
the images referenced in the css into the export destination.
One can also call wget or any similar tool from outside lenya to
fetch the live-area with all file references. Search the archives for
the correct wget parameters. This is also what the static exporter
does, btw. Put the call to wget in a cron job for somewhat automatic
export.
