Hello,
I am in the process of evaluating Lenya for use as a hosting solution
for K12 schools in my state. I am also doing a demo as the university
we work with is looking at a CMS as well. Doug and Michael gave me a
demo and overview at ApacheCon in San Diego the past year. So far
things are going fairly well.
One of the biggest issues we are going to encounter is quota support.
We could use file system quotas, but I'm not sure how Lenya will
handle a user that has been stopped by the file system.
you mean re uploading data and creating new pages?
I think Lenya would need to be slightly customized that an exception
re space would be handled nicely, resp. a screen to the user is being
presented that the quota is being reached resp. space is being exceeded.
Of course the biggest issue would be with controlling total size of
assets in a publication.
well, one could check on the size with every request and display the
free and
used space.
This could potentailly work. I doubt that the need to worry about disk
usage from text is very high. I'm guessing JCR should be able to provide
the necessary data once that is in use?
I have been trying to work with getting PDFs to generate, but I
haven't been having any luck getting images to work. I'm guessing it
is a file path issue. Any help would be appreciated.
can you send some more details
I followed the instructions posted at:
http://article.gmane.org/gmane.comp.cms.lenya.user/7157/match=pdf as
they were the most complete. I have stuck small JPG images in the page I
am trying to generate. In HTML they look just fine, however they do not
show up in the PDF itself. I don't see anything in the logs about the
file not being found.
What is a way of doing a calendar of events?
are you using Lenya 1.2.x or Lenya 1.4-dev?
I am testing with both 1.2.5-dev and 1.4-dev although most of it is
being done in 1.2 right now. Basically I just need to prove that there
is a fairly easy way of doing it at this point.
Thanks,
Richard
