I am doing an evaluation and trying to persuade a school to use Lenya

The resistance I am running up against is some users familiarity with
MS Office and the ability to drag and drop some documents in the
creation of web pages.
what exactly do you mean with drag and drop Word documents? Can you
explain a bit more?
Is there any level of Office integration planned for future releases?
If so can anyone tell me what level?
OpenOffice has been integrated (see
http://svn.apache.org/repos/asf/lenya/trunk/src/modules/opendocument/)
and we (Wyona) are currently working on something similar for Word/Office:
http://svn.wyona.com/repos/public/lenya/modules/msword/
(use anonymous:anonymous)
One problem we are facing is "validation" ... resp. making the documents
editable with other editors ...
