Markus, I had some other priorities since I posted my previous message (vacation, etc.), and ... well ... trying to recreate a problem that seems to have gone away by itself isn't really at the top of my priority list.
Anyway, I re-installed apache-lenya-1.2.4 and 1.2.x on a windows 2000 platform both with j2sdk1.4.2_09 and jdk 1.5_02 but did not encounter the problem. I tried the same with apache-lenya 1.2.4 on linux and both jdk versions, with same results. If I find out more about this I'll report back here.
