[1.4] ODT upload

How does one go about uploading an ODT file for use? I go to file, then 
hit New ODT, create that just fine. Then from there I don't see anything 
in the menu that would allow me to actually upload the corresponding 
file. I see the usecase in the files, but it doesn't appear to be 
accessible from the UI.
