Hi Jürgen,
thanks for your input!

- Bugs
Do you have the impression that there are too many bugs
which prevent you from working?
yes, mixed with a lack of polish in some areas
1) Workflow and site-tab Relations: is the discussion finished on
this
topic? what about the publishing of subtrees?
I added a "workflow overview" usecase which allows to execute
workflow transitions more quickly. Maybe this allows us to get
rid of the publish/deactivate subtree functionality ...
I can't operate the usecase yet - It's showing a tooltip «access
denied».
Do I have to set permissions first?
2) Access Control Tab: More explanations about the usage; I think
it is
not possible to protect a node from public («world») reading just
from
the gui. This, I think, is a common task and should be possible from
within the lenya GUI.
You're right, I filed a bug:
http://issues.apache.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=41065
3) Lack of polish in the tinymce editor module (depends on editor
api?). Nice would be multiple (or at least 2) editable areas. I
consider
Tinymce a very valuable module.
Would you mind filing a bug?
I did that - under Miscellaneous. What about a bugzilla category
«tinymce integration»?
4) There are issues in the create screen (see
http://issues.apache.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=40555)
5) There are problems concerning multiple samples per resource
type (see
also http://issues.apache.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=40555)
I hope someone finds the time to look at these issues ...
Of course, patches are always appreciated :)
I wish a had enough knowledge to contribute such patches - I'm
working on it (the knowledge ;-))
6) It would be nice to have all the content generated through the
lenya
GUI separate from the code (including access control data and user
data...)
Yes, that's definitely on the todo list, but it will take quite
a lot of time ...
maybe this is «past 1.4 stuff».
- Documentation
Is there a lack of documentation which prevents you from
implementing applications based on Lenya?
yes
1) document important undocumented features (especially the hidden
magic)
2) move wiki documentation to the official documentation
3) create a place for tutorials / howtos in the wiki to lower the
entry
barrier
What I would love to read...: ;-)
- New custom publication useful changes
- Customizing lucene and it's result page
OK
I hope my feedback is helpful.
Sure, thanks a lot!
