Hi,
I'm very interested in the next Lenya meeting.
since I found last year's user meetings very interesting and quite
productive, I'm looking forward to the next one which will hopefully
take place not too far from now. I'll try to organize a room, but
unfortunately I don't have access to any premises of appropriate size
and infrastructure, so it would be great if someone from the community
could again make such a generous offer. Thanks again to the University
of Zurich and the Uniklinikum Freiburg!
If there's a problem with the infrastructure, I think I'll be able to find
a solution in
Freiburg or my hometown Bad Säckingen (www.bad-saeckingen.de).
cool, thanks for the offer! Should we start a Wiki page? As soon as we
have determined a date and location, we can start spreading the word.

Maybe we can increase the number of participants a bit. I have the
feeling that there are many Lenya users and service providers in
German-speaking countries which don't appear on the mailing lists, a
search at Xing yields quite a few results. As soon as we have determined
a date, we could compose a neat invitation and post it to all forums /
communities we're aware of. WDYT?
I could imagine to have three tracks:
- For potential users: introduction, case studies, demos
- For users: how-tos, best practises
- For developers: how-tos about internals, discussion about the future
Good idea. It would be fine if we can also meet other users and hear obout
their experiences with Lenya.
From the developers' point of view, IMHO the following issues have to
be discussed:
- Does the roadmap still conform to our interests and requirements?
- What features are missing or should be changed (incl. priorities)?
- Update to Cocoon 2.2?
- Exchange the repository?
- more on http://wiki.apache.org/lenya/WishlistLenya2.0
Thorsten, since you have experience with Cocoon 2.2, I think it would be
very valuable if you could participate in the next meeting. If the
meeting is in Zurich, I'll certainly find you a place to stay.
Any comments are very welcome!
