Using Ubuntu. I tried it on three different computers - my Laptop, Ubuntu 8.04 LTS, Java 5 update 22 - my PC, Ubuntu 10.04 LTS, separate downloaded SUN-JDK5 because just Version6 is in the repository - "my" virtual Server, Ubuntu 8.04 LTS, Java 5 with really old 5.0.0 I set $JAVA_HOME to the base path of the java version, tested it with "java -version".
