have you tried the RDF components, http://components.neo4j.org/neo4j-rdf/ ?

Also, Gremlin has a RDF importing model that might be more convenient,
see 
https://github.com/tinkerpop/gremlin/wiki/Specific-Sail-Connectors#neo4jsail_functions
for opening the store with Neo4j and then work with it according to
https://github.com/tinkerpop/gremlin/wiki/Sesame-Sail-Quad-Store . It
uses the underlying Neo4j RDF implementation, so you should get the
same results either way.
