Hmm. Thats a crazy error I've never seen.

Question: What does your pom.xml look like? (or how are you dealing with 
dependencies?)
        NOTE: You don't need Gremlin to load GraphML files -- just Blueprints 
which comes with GraphMLReader.inputGraph();

Either way, you shouldn't get that problem using Gremlin either :).
