Hi there, the problem is the maven version you are using - Neo4j does not work well with mvn 3. The exact same steps are successful with my setup which is the same but for maven 2.2.1 I suggest you downgrade your maven install or create an environment for Neo4j that uses mvn 2, until we become maven 3 compatible.
