I just started using Lucy, and I was wondering is it possible to to use dictionary-based name entity recognition? I want to explore relations between various entities that belongs to different dictionaries.
For example, one can have two dictionaries - one for female, and one for male names. If a word is recognized as a person's name it can be accompanied by it's dictionary ID. Extracting female names from, let's say Facebook postings, would be as simple as searching for records by female dictionary ID. Another example is finding biomedical articles that contains pairs: a drug and a disease. In such a search the actual names of a drug and a diseases is not important - just dictionaries they belong to. Alex
