I updated from the update-dev site and the results were the same. Adding a
dependency through the m2 plugin
is causing the ant configuration in the pom to be reset to null elements.

I filed a jira issue MNGECLIPSE-309 with a small test project. The project
also includes pom_bak.xml
with the original pom config so someone can restore the pom after
duplicating the problem.

  http://m2eclipse.codehaus.org/update-dev/

  If it fail with the same result, please create a JIRA issue and
provide sample project that will be sufficient to reproduce this issue.
