I'd been copying jars manually over to my local repos. to get it to work, but as you say really I should do this by running install. When I do this from within eclipse (right click on the project's pom.xml, run as > install) it creates a brand new repository for me (in a directory called maven, alongside the 'target' directory), rather than using my local user.dir. Is there any way I can get the whole build to work using eclipse only without mucking around copying files or running maven from the command line ? thanks Matt.
