I'd been copying jars manually over to my local repos. to get it to work, but
as you say really I should do this by running install.
When I do this from within eclipse (right click on the project's pom.xml, run
as > install) it creates a brand new repository for me (in a directory called
maven, alongside the 'target' directory), rather than using my local user.dir.

Is there any way I can get the whole build to work using eclipse only without
mucking around copying files or running maven from the command line ?

thanks
Matt.

Re: [m2eclipse-user] project dependency question

It is actually looking into your local repository first. So, run install goal
on the project your problematic depends on.Nix.
