understanding. So far, this doesn't seem too smart - isn't there a
way to make "mvn clean" run instead of Eclipses own "clean" while
selecting "Project -> Clean" on a mvn project?
I semi-agree with you, although I think it would be more appropriate
to have a clean option on the maven submenu.
There actually is a "maven2 clean" in the "maven2" context menu. Yet I
would prefer having this attached to "Project -> Clean" for a simple
reason: Once in a while, one might want to go through rebuilding the
whole of the workspace simply using "Project -> Clean" and selecting
all projects. As long as all projects are "just" Eclipse projects, this
does do rather well. As soon as there are some maven2 projects amongst
them, however, this fails (well, it doesn't fail, but it doesn't do
what one possibly would expect), and you're back to calling "maven2 ->
maven2 clean" manually for each and every maven2 project in question.
Works, but is sort of uncomfortable...
Sorry, could you tell me exactly where that maven2 context menu is? I don't see
any Clean option, in fact I'm not sure what you mean by the maven2 context menu.
